Description: A cross-section of the dome of the Borghese Chapel, also known as the Paulina Chapel, in the Basilica of Saint Mary Major. On the wall is a statue of Pope Paul V knelling in prayer, surrounded by scenes from his papacy. In the lower right-hand corner is an image of Saint John the Evangelist, with his attribute the eagle. In the upper-right hand corner is an image of Saint Ignatius of Antioch, also know as Theophorus. In the upper left-hand corner is a scene from the death of the Emperor Constantine. The coat of arms of Pope Paul V can be seen inside all of the windows. At the top of the dome is an image of Saint John the Evangelist in heaven, with two his attributes, a serpent in a cup and an eagle.
