Description: This historiated title-page border was especially used by Nickel Schirlentz (d. 1547) for the writings of Karlstadt in 1521-1524. At the foot of the page, Isaac carries the wood for a sacrifice as he and Abraham walk toward Moriah. This depiction is flanked by two nudes, perhaps Adam and Eve.
