Description: Lazarus sits at the gate of the rich man, who lives in luxury. In the rear, the rich man begs Abraham to allow Lazarus to put water on his tongue to quench his torment. The monogram of the artist, Virgil Solis (1514-1562), has been placed in the lower left corner of the woodcut.
