Description: The coat of arms of James, the King of Scots (r. 1567-1625 as James VI) and King of England & Ireland (r. 1603-1625 as James I). Around the coat of arms is the Latin motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE (shame be to him who thinks evil of it), the motto of the English chivalric Order of the Garter. At the bottom is the French motto DIEU ET MON DROIT (God and my right). Below the coat of arms are Tudor Roses and Thistles, the national flowers of England and Scotland respectively.
