Description: This print features the fifth angel blowing his trumpet, and a pit being opened with a monster. Locusts appear and resemble horses with crowns, human faces, and tails like scorpions. The wicked are stung and in agony. This and other woodcuts in this 1533 Bible are the work of the German artist, Erhard Altdorfer (d. 1561).
