Description: A historiated title-page border depicting several scenes from the Gospels, such as, Matthew 4 where Jesus is tempted in the wilderness; Matthew 26 where Peter disowns Jesus; Luke 7 where Jesus raises the widow's son from the dead; John 11 where Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead; Matthew 28 where it is proclaimed that Jesus has risen from the dead; Matthew 27 where Jesus is crucified; John 4 where Jesus talks with a Samaritan woman; Mark 6 where Jesus walks on water; and Matthew 17 where Jesus transfigures into a bright light and Elijah and Moses appear. As well at the top of the border, the personifications of "HUMILITIE" and "REPENTENCE" are situated in the upper-left and upper-right corners, respectively.
