Scripture Reference:

Description: This engraving depicts the prophet Daniel’s vision by the Tigris River. An angelic man encourages Daniel about an ensuing war between Persia, Israel’s current rulers, and Greece. The men accompanying Daniel cannot see the angel, hence their impassiveness. The engraver, Michael Van Der Gucht (1660–1725), has placed his last name in the lower right.
