Description: This woodcut by artist, Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld (1794-1872), depicts Esau returning from a hunt, as Rebekah helps Jacob fool his father, Isaac, into giving him Esau’s blessing. The engraver’s name, Carl August Zscheckel (1824-1870), is located along the edge of the curtain in the bottom right corner of the woodcut.
