Description: The printer’s device of Johannis Tauberi (c.1663). A dove returns to Noah’s Ark with an olive leaf, indicating that the waters of the flood have begun to subside. Above the ark is the word “sperando “, meaning “hope”. The printer’s initials, JT, are contained in the anchor at the side of the ark.
