Description: This image depicts Jesus speaking with the Samaritan woman at the well in Sychar. In the background In the bottom-right corner Jesus enters Jerusalem triumphantly as the people wave palm branches and throw their cloaks on the road in front of him, and the Apostle Peter follows Jesus’ instructions and hooks a fish, only to find a coin with which to pay the Temple tax in its mouth. At the bottom fire and sulphur rain from heaven on the day the Son of Man is revealed. In the top-right corner Jesus is questioned by the Pharisees and Sadducees, and Jesus comes to Mary and Martha after the death of their brother Lazarus. To the right Nicodemus comes to Jesus at night, and the mother of James and John, the sons of Zebedee asks Jesus to give her sons a place at his left and right side in his kingdom. To the left Jesus cleanses the Temple and Jesus sees Jerusalem and weeps over the city. In the top-left corner Jesus prays alone on the mountain, Jesus celebrates the Passover meal, also known as the Lord’s Supper, with his disciples, and Jesus gives his final instructions, the Great Commission, to the disciples before returning to heaven. In the bottom-left corner a widow gives her mite at the Temple, which Jesus uses as an example of sacrificial giving, and Matthew sits at his tax-collectors booth.
