Description: This image depicts Esther kneeling before King Xerxes of Persia to make her request. In the top-left corner Haman tells Xerxes how to honor the man Xerxes wishes to honor. In the bottom-right corner Mordecai is led through the city by Haman on the king’s horse wearing the king’s robes, an honor extended to Mordecai by King Xerxes. In the top-right corner Haman begs Esther for his life. To the right Haman is hung on the gallows prepared for Mordecai. At the top Mordecai has a dream, while in the bottom-left corner Mordecai revokes the orders of Haman to destroy the Jews.
