Description: This image depicts an angel leading Lot and his family from Sodom and Gomorrah before their destruction. Lot’s wife can be seen in the background, a pillar of salt. In the upper left-hand corner is an angel coming to Hagar by a spring of water in the wilderness to tell her that she will give birth to Ishmael. In the upper right-hand corner Sarai is shown offering her slave-girl, Hagar, to Abram as a concubine. In the lower left-hand corner are Lot’s daughters getting him drunk so they can sleep with him. In the lower right-hand corner an angel comes to Hagar and Ishmael in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.
