Description: Job sits on the ground as his friends argue over the meaning of the calamities that have befallen him, which are alluded to in the background. To the right, the house of Job’s eldest son has collapsed, killing all of Job’s children. To the left of this, the Sabeans and the Chaldeans carry off his livestock, and a building, perhaps a stable, is consumed by fire.
