Description: In the foreground, Raguel gives Sarah to his nearest kinsman, Tobias, in marriage. Behind this scene, Tobias and Sarah follow Raphael’s instructions to burn on the embers of the incense the heart and liver of the fish Tobias had caught earlier. Additionally, they are to pray to God for mercy and safety prior to consummating their marriage. In the background, Tobias restores his father’s sight by smearing the fish’s gall on his eyes.
