Scripture Reference:

Description: This engraving is the second of seventeen illustrating the dedication or consecration of a church. Reaching the door of the church, the bishop knocks on the door with his crozier and asks to be admitted with the words of Psalm 24: “Let the king of glory enter.” A deacon inside the church asks: “Who is the king of glory?” and the bishop answers: “The Lord strong and mighty: the Lord strong in battle”.
