Description: This engraving illustrates ordination to the minor order of exorcist, the third of seven ordinations culminating in full priesthood. The bishop, seated on his throne and surrounded by attendant priests, offers three newly ordained exorcists a pontifical or liturgical manual which contains rites for exorcism.
