Image Title: Man of Sorrows

Description: Jesus is shown here with the instruments of his crucifixion (sometimes characterized as the Man of Sorrows). Blood pours from the wounds of Jesus at his hands, feet, and side as a sword rests on the ground at the base. Includes the monogram of the woodcutter, Christoffel van Sichem II (1577-1658); his son, Christoffel van Sichem III (1618-1659), may have collaborated with him on these images, near the bottom left corner.
