Description: Jesus is shown resurrected victoriously, holding a cross-like staff with a pennant and cloak, while soldiers sleep in front of his tomb. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus come to the tomb and find the stone rolled away and an angel. Includes the monogram of the woodcutter, Christoffel van Sichem II (1577-1658); his son, Christoffel van Sichem III (1618-1659), may have collaborated with him on these images. This image also includes the engraver's initials (HG) near the bottom left corner.
