Description: When the women go to see the tomb of Jesus, they find the stone rolled away and an angel sitting on it, as the soldiers guarding the tomb become like dead men. Includes the monogram of the woodcutter, Christoffel van Sichem II (1577-1658); his son, Christoffel van Sichem III (1618-1659), may have collaborated with him on these images. This image also includes an engraver’s knife in the bottom left corner.
