Scripture Reference:

Description: As Jesus dies on the cross, a soldier pierces his side with a spear, another breaks the legs of one of the thieves with a club. At the base of the cross is a skull and over Jesus’ head is the inscription, “INRI.” Includes the monogram of the woodcutter, Christoffel van Sichem II (1577-1658); his son, Christoffel van Sichem III (1618-1659), may have collaborated with him on these images.
