Image Title: Demons

Description: A demon in the form of a woman, but with wings and horns, brandishes a three-pronged scepter with one clawed hand and is surrounded by a host of animals. The tail of a snake can be seen protruding from beneath her skirt, suggesting her demonic character. The animals all have some association with evil - there is a goat, a lion, foxes and a number of confused mixtures and composite animals. The Latin superscription reads, "Diabolical spirits delineated," and the text below, "What is a demon? From Erebus what kind of unfathomable monster? A high flying angel, corrupted by a defect of pride.".
