Image Title: Heresy Types

Description: An arch-heretic stands in the center of the image, trampling a cross and before him on the ground lies a worm-eaten, severed arm. A demon descends, almost whispering in his ear as he preaches. The Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove, ascends, fleeing the scene. In the background, men tear down a church with picks while others build a stone wall with the rubble, aided by demons. The Latin superscription runs, "Types of heresies and descriptions," and the texts below, "What family is the heretic? From what dregs of society? Of what brutish expression? Worthless to Catholics; and deserter of the ancestral faith.".
