Image Title: Heretics vs. Believers
Description: A heretic, identified by the devil whispering in his ear, preaches from a pulpit. Some receive his message credulously and others flee, refusing to believe. The Latin superscription reads, "Those who are too credulous are seduced by heretics," and the text below "Who puts himself easily into the noose of the heretics? The needless, to these they always to give words and sell smoke." (N.B. the French translation reads "Hughenots" for "heretics.") The banners across the image run, "Do not believe Matt 27" (Matthew 24:23) and "He that is hasty to give credit is light of heart Eccli 19" (Ecclesiasticus 19:4)..
