Methodist Resources

The Pitts Library has rich resources for the study of Methodism. These include:

• General collections, including official publications of the various Methodist churches, standard reference materials and journals, and other works representing the best of historical and critical scholarship.
• Special collections, including a large body of Wesleyana and Methodistica contextualized in a collection of more than 35,000 volumes of original printed books, pamphlets, and hymnals representing English religious history.
• Unpublished archival materials, including organizational records of conferences and churches, local church histories, and personal papers of Methodist clergy, missionaries, and educators. Most of these materials are related to the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, for which the Pitts Library is the offical archive.

There are also many electronic resources for the study of Methodism. These include the Works of Wesley on CD-ROM, accessible at the library, and a number of websites. Links to some of the most useful sites are provided below.
